Vdara in the Sky with Diamonds

Though not quite Manhattan, City Center is definitely an improvement to the growing Vegas skyline. Glass is quickly replacing stucco as the material of choice for Vegas’ casinoteurs or condoneers. Vdara, one of the buildings within City Center, is a hybrid hotel/condo. Buyer or renter beware, you’ve got huge windows as walls in your bathroom. However, if you’re the least bit shy, automated window shades come standard. Views of the flat desert city are a dime a dozen in Vegas, but seeing the valley from a higher altitude other than from the Stratosphere is a nice change of pace. Vdara towers slightly over the “older” buildings on the strip, and the Penthouses, which these photos were taken, have amazing views.
