Ruvo Building Inside and Out

What’s with all this new construction? So the heady days of the boom really brought a bunch of new shiny things to Vegas. Not that Vegas wasn’t shiny enough already, but money was coming in from all over the place and where it landed, something new eventually popped up. Case-in-point, this gem of a building that was probably hand drawn on a napkin and voila, a building is born.

Like the contortionist at any given “Cirque” show, architectural contortionist, Frank Gehry has given visitors and residents alike a proverbial visual buffet of excitement with his creation, the Cleavland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Photographed for Seven Weekly, these images were taken on last days of construction. Lucky for us the crane was parked off to the left in front of the white wall – nothing the clone tool couldn’t handle.
