Atypical Vegas

Nightclubs, restaurants and casinos are the requisite backdrops to many of our subjects. However, the Las Vegas Springs Preserve’s Origen Experience was a reprieve. The atypical setting made for a dramatic sweeping composition for our subject, Elizabeth Herridge, the managing director of the preserve. Since Ms. Herridge was once the director of the Guggenheim Hermitage Museum, we thought channeling Caravaggio’s lighting appropriate for this portrait.
Using the high resolution digital back was a benefit in terms of detail. Here’s a crop of Ms. Herridge’s portrait.
